menska is proud to be representing our client, a large private jet aircraft management and charter operator with over 250 aircraft globally, that offers a wide array of services within the private jet space.

Our client is looking for a qualified candidate to join their team in the role of Business Development Director in either Germany, Luxembourg or Denmark.

​

​

Role purpose:

The main responsibility of the Business Development Director is to identify and implement business growth opportunities in new and existing markets and create long-term value for the company by sourcing and retaining new clients whilst also forming and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
 

​

Key responsibilities:

  • Respond to all aircraft management client enquiries on a timely and professional manner

  • Produce and provide aircraft management proposals and operational budgets for aircraft

  • Coordinate the setup of new aircraft by pursuing leads through to signing. Liaising with all stakeholders to ensure aircraft are transitioned accurately and effectively

  • Monitor the aircraft management pipeline and following up on prospects

  • Report regularly to management on these prospects and leads

  • Maintain and develop the monthly customer reporting system to ensure its continuing effectiveness and relevance

  • Manage aircraft fleet insurance, including: quotations, renewals, processing, and claims handling

  • Raise the Company profile by networking, attending events and seminars with the aim of attracting new clients and developing the business

  • Any ad hoc projects and tasks as requested by your Line Manager

 

 

Essential qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent

​

Essential experience & knowledge:

  • Background in business aviation​

  • Experience in a sales environment

  • Knowledge of all aspects of aircraft operation

 

Essential skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong IT software understanding particularly word and excel

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Excellent time management

  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced organisation


Essential competencies:

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Ability to build relationships with prospective and existing clients as well as stakeholders

  • Resourcefulness, adaptability and high level of personal motivation and commitment

  • Resilient to stress and able to work under pressure to deadlines


Desirable experience:

  • You've held a similar position previously

  • You're well connected in the business aviation community
