Ground Operations Manager

Location: Le Bourget Airport, France

Salary: €50k per annum

The Ground Operations Manager will lead the company Ground Ops Team and will report to the General Manager.

Ground Operations are a key department for the planning and organization of all flights worldwide and work closely with the Charter Sales department. You will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to drive and increase performance and high level of engagement.


At the very heart of the Aviation operations, you will be in charge of managing all the tasks to perform private jet flights, complying with EASA Regulations, and represent the company professionally at all levels.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Control flights planning, make sure the right aircraft is at the right place with the right crew in order to optimize the schedule and get as many flights as possible for the company, complying with flight rules regulations

  • Manage all the flight operations (handling, parking, permits, PPR, flight plans, etc) at the nominated base(s) and satellite airports to deliver targeted performance outcomes in all areas of safety, compliance, cost control, and operational performance, and manage all the extra services required (catering, hotel, transfers, etc.), and monitor the flights once live

  • Leading the team while effectively handling conflict, providing feedback and employee recognition for the people who go above and beyond, and coaching employees to become successful.

  • Communicate and coordinate with suppliers and company’s departments

  • Respond to audit needs, inspections, operational planning, and processes

  • Organize Urgent Medical Flights

Experience:

​

  • Flight dispatcher degree + strong knowledge in flight operations and regulation acquired during a first experience or internship

  • Extensive experience as an operational manager/leader, preferably in Flight/Ground Services.

  • A strong desire to work in a busy aviation business with a high degree of energy, drive, and a willingness to take on responsibilities

  • Adaptability and flexibility to deal with last-minute changes and be able to cope with what is a stressful job.

  • Able to multi-task and work well in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment

  • Ability to think outside of the box and work logically to solve problems

  • Excellent communication, organization, and effective time management skills

  • Fluent in French AND English, spoken and written and good IT skills

  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
