Charter Executive - Negotiable Salary - London Area

The role:

The main purpose of the role is to support charter clients and prospects in providing a first-class customer service, delivering competitive charter quotations and managing charter flights. The role encompasses managing all aspects of charter flights from initial enquiry to contract to post-flight operational support as well as being responsible for the acquisition, growth and retention of clients.


Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out business development and marketing to existing and new prospect customers including telephone, sales meetings and e-marketing to promote the company to achieve business development objectives

  • Carry out account management activities with existing clients and business development activity aimed at new prospect growth and building your client portfolio.

  • Develop a network of suppliers to our charter offering and grow our knowledge of operator options to support our business growth

  • Deliver a consistent first-class customer experience in all phases of the business.

  • Assist with the management of existing charter contracts, including: Monitoring flights and calling airline operations to check flight departures, completing the flight watch system and A assisting with ad hoc reports and analysis.

  • Ensure that the company CRM database is updated on a regular and consistent basis to maintain and grow company data and market intelligence. This will include contacting companies and updating contacts and accounts in the system to ensure our marketing reaches the right people.

  • Broker charter enquiries out of office hours as part of the duty team

  • To be part of the duty rota system we operate, maintaining a 24hr a day service, 7 days a week to answer incoming calls, pursue business opportunities and monitor operations.

  • Create and produce contracts and documents from our standard templates

  • Continue to develop your knowledge of the aviation industry and commercial understanding

  • Carry out ad hoc duties and provide support to the team as required to ensure the delivery of bookings and sustain activities to support the growth and development of the Charter team and the company

  • Work towards agreed, measurable performance targets and standards.

  • Represent the company in a highly professional and competent manner and exercising a reasonable commercial judgement

  • Always delivering a first-class customer service.

  • Maintain strict company and client confidentiality at all times.

Essential experience & knowledge:

  • Experience in a sales, broking or commercial environment

  • General aviation/aircraft knowledge or an interest in aviation is desirable but not essential

  • Keenness to learn and progress your aviation sales career

  • Highly target driven individual, motivated to ‘Win’ busines

  • Excellent time management skills to ensure rigorous contract and project deadlines are met

  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to negotiate and influence

  • Customer focused with first rate people skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn and develop the functionality of a new system

  • Excellent time management skills to ensure rigorous contract and project deadlines are met

  • Have a flexible approach to working in a team environment

  • Precise and accurate data entry, with an attention to detail

  • Additional languages advantageous
