Wide Body Charter Desk Operations Manager
Location: Michigan - Travel up to 50%
Salary: $80,000-$125,000

The role:
The Charter Desk Operations Manager will support and participate in the Wide Body Air Charter Development by procuring and executing contracted charter missions. In addition, you will be contributing to the buildup and development of the air charter division as set forth by the Charter Manager and VP Project Cargo sales. Administrative tasks and day to day additional tasks will be part of your activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive solutions to the internal stakeholders, sales, and business developers for wide body air charters (over 50,000 lbs)
Provide operational consultative information and solutions pertaining tailor made airfreight services
Set up and execute/monitor and follow up on the contracted air charter mission
Provide comprehensive information, communication and tracking of contracted air charter missions
Work hand in hand with all operational and Customs entities to create and execute turnkey air charter solutions, globally
Curate and foster the relation with key aircraft operators, globally
Curate and foster the relation with key ground handling services and airport information for air charter operational set up and execution globally
Provide technical expertise in aircraft type and loading concepts / requirements for complex loads, including sourcing of ancillary services such as cargo inspections and required equipment for cargo handling, loading, and offloading
Contribute and participate in the wide body air charter product development from an operational angle
Contribute and participate in the creation and formation of coaching and training modules for the internal stakeholders
Fulfill administrative tasks related to the air charter desk, including data entry in operational systems and issuance of transport documents
About you:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A 10-to-15-year minimal experience in airfreight, aircharter and air logistics
An in-depth knowledge of all matters airplanes: most current freight and belly freight aircrafts ranging from B727 through B747-400F/-8F and out of gage aircrafts
An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the current main global asset owners and operators
Must demonstrate an apt and agile characteristic for solutions and integration
Driven by result and accomplishment
Apt to integrate and connect with the structure, business model and philosophy
Apt to work with all standard Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Be able to formulate and present a comprehensive air charter operations process, and solution (written/verbal)
Be able to contribute to the formation and creation of processes and protocols
Be able to work independently and manage crisis situations on behalf of internal stakeholders and customers
Multilingual is preferred
Bring an existing network of carrier and operator connections
