The role:

The Sales Director – Private Jets UK will be responsible for delivering new business and new customers into the business. Focussing on the Private Jets product, you will be primarily responsible for selling new  programmes and increasing the number of members. 

 

You will have extensive experience in generating new business through your own sales methods, along with managing your own sales pipeline. You will have proven ability in selling to ultra-high net worth individuals and senior executives of corporate companies in a highly competitive market.


The Sales Director – Private Jets UK will execute the overall department strategy and work closely with the Senior Sales Director, Director of the membership program and the Members Services team for fulfilment of the membership program sales. You will be familiar with competitors’ products in this space, and be able to effectively out-manoeuvre these in tender situations. Being a solid relationship builder, having superior product knowledge, and having a strong competitive nature are key attributes for this role.

Accountabilities:

General responsibilities and key tasks include, but not limited to:


• Selling new memberships and private aviation products to a range of ultra-high net worth individuals and corporates of all sizes
• Building, developing and managing Sales pipelines through sales calls, referrals, incoming leads and meetings with prospective customers
• Using the CRM to create dashboards and log sales activity
• Play a leading role in contract negotiations for new opportunities generated
• Assist in preparation of tender bids for new business
• Preparation and presentation of business proposals to potential members
• Responsible for providing business direction in product developments to ensure that the business delivers unique, superior products and services that differentiate within the marketplace and deliver benefits and value to the customer.
• Horizon scanning to inform business development opportunities and identify market trends
• Will maintain and leverage current market intelligence on competitors, associated industries and potential opportunities with the aim of keeping the company at the forefront of the industry
• Maintain a positive profile internally and externally for the company Group – e.g. Corporates, consumer reports/thought leadership and working with new product development, sales, technology and marketing teams

• Attend and present at events and meetings with key influencers to raise the profile of the company

  • Familiarising yourself with and having the ability to confidently describe and cross sell all of the company's products and services where appropriate

 

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience in selling membership and/or fractional programmes with a minimum of two years’ experience
• To have a network of appropriate contacts
• Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively and capable of influencing others
• Have great leadership skills and the ability to build successful relationships with clients, contacts and colleagues
• Must be highly strategic
• Competitive nature and attitude to work, with the ability to handle working in a high pressured environment
• Highly motivated and self-confident with the ability to maintain high levels of enthusiasm
• Strong listening and problem solving skills
• Business/commercial acumen and a professional approach to work
• Experience working in an international environment would be an advantage
• IT literate with advance Microsoft Office Skills
• Flexible in your approach to your work and willing to travel (sometimes at short notice)
• Graduate level preferred
