The role:
​
The role of a Senior Account Manager - Commercial Jets involves delivering revenue and profitability in accordance with your agreed targets and maintaining high-earning accounts. This will be achieved by providing ad-hoc charter solutions to your clients.
To compliment the primary role, it will be necessary to be included in various field activities such as client visits, airline visits, aircraft viewings, and flight riding or flight dispatch.

To be effective in this role you will need to demonstrate proven proactive sales ability, smart procurement techniques, resourceful aircraft location, creative presentation of offers, outstanding commercial awareness, insightful closing techniques, and robust administration with the flight planning arrangements.
​
In addition to the above, you will also lead by example and display best practice broking techniques along with mentoring and guiding the less experienced members of the Commercial Jets trading team.

Accountabilities:
​

Achieving targets set for each financial year

Assisting the Head of Commercial Jets with implementing and progressing the Commercial Jets strategy

Providing support to the Commercial Jets UK team in all aspects of day to day trading

Maintenance and growth of existing client base
-
Assisting with client care activities and supplier relations
-
Speedy turnaround of new and existing client enquiries
-
Mentor and guide less experienced team members
-
Ensuring all new enquiries are entered correctly into CRM and updated on a regular basis

After-sales service and orderly maintenance of paperwork/files
-
Research relevant industry data to create new sales leads and opportunities

Managing and maintaining high service levels on demanding accounts

Occasional out-of-hours work and 'contactability' often in pressured, time-sensitive situations
Job knowledge, skills & experience:

Previous proven experience in a broking role
-
Good understanding of changing markets both in operators and clients
-
Customer-focused with good people skills and the ability to form relationships with key individuals
-
Ability to communicate effectively, with a strong telephone manner
-
Ability to anticipate and outmanoeuvre rivals in competitive tenders
-
Previous experience working in an international environment

Ability to generate consistent GP for the company and meet challenging targets
-
Excellent time management skills to ensure rigorous contract and project deadlines are met

Well organised and resourceful
-
IT literate with the ability to learn the functions of a new system

Numerate, efficient and accurate
-
Must be competitive, highly motivated and hungry to win business

Logical approach to problem-solving and adept at keeping up with a changing situation

Ability to maintain a sense of humour, even in a pressured situation
