Role | Director of Passenger Charters (Ref: J309) |
Location | Cologne, Germany |
Salary | Negotiable DOE |
Client | Our client is an established business operating within the international air cargo market, offering a fast-paced, commercial environment with excellent scope for professional development. |

Role overview:
This is a senior commercial opportunity for an experienced air charter leader who knows the DACH market, knows how to win business and knows how to get the best from a team.
Menska is supporting a global aviation business in the search for a Director of Passenger Charters – DACH, taking responsibility for the continued growth of its passenger charter business across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
This is not a sit-back-and-manage role. We’re looking for someone commercially sharp, well connected and comfortable combining regional strategy, leadership and hands-on business development.
The role:
You’ll take ownership of the passenger charter strategy across the DACH region, working closely with European leadership to grow revenue, strengthen key client relationships and identify new opportunities.
You’ll:
Lead and develop the regional Passenger Charter team
Build and execute the DACH passenger sales strategy
Drive new business and expand existing client relationships
Take an active role in high-value and strategic client opportunities
Identify new markets, sectors and revenue opportunities
Support brokers throughout the charter process when required
Monitor commercial performance against agreed targets and KPIs
Build strong relationships across clients, suppliers and the wider international business
We're looking for someone who has:
Strong experience within passenger air charter
Previous leadership experience within a commercial or regional role
A proven record of winning and growing business
An established network within the DACH aviation/charter market
Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills
The ability to lead from the front rather than from a spreadsheet
Fluency in German and strong English communication skills
The ability to work from the Cologne office at least three days per week
Menska's thoughts:
A cracking opportunity for someone who has already built their reputation in passenger charter and is ready to take genuine ownership of a region.
There’s plenty of leadership here, but it still has its sleeves rolled up. If you enjoy building teams, developing clients and spotting where the next piece of business is coming from, this could be a very interesting next move.
