Role overview:
A central Accountant position reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance and delivering timely reporting.
Maintain accounting records and process supplier invoices
Manage customer accounting alongside Sales Administration
Prepare VAT returns and financial statements
Monitor budgets, expenses and income
Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities and banks
Oversee payroll accounting and related filings
Deliver internal and external financial reporting
We're looking for someone who has:
Master’s degree in Accounting
3+ years’ experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of Maltese accounting and tax regulations
Experience with SAGE, Spendesk and Excel
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to work autonomously and proactively
Fluent in English
