The role:
This is a senior safety and compliance role supporting the Head of Safety & Compliance and acting as their deputy when required. The position plays a key role in shaping, maintaining and continuously improving the Safety Management System (SMS) and Compliance Monitoring framework.
The role is office-based and operates normal business hours, with occasional travel to company or third-party sites as part of audits and oversight activity.
What you'll do:
Support and develop the Safety Management System and Compliance Monitoring function
Act as deputy to the Head of Safety & Compliance across all approvals
Lead safety assurance activity, reporting, investigations and root cause analysis
Support and oversee the internal audit programme and audit closures
Monitor regulatory change and embed updates into company procedures
Maintain safety and compliance documentation and performance reporting
Support audits of third-party providers and external organisations
Interface with regulators and support nominated postholder activities
Contribute to safety and compliance governance, meetings and senior reporting
About you:
Experience acting as Deputy Safety Manager and/or Deputy Compliance Monitoring Manager
Strong knowledge of operational, aircrew and continuing airworthiness regulations
Audit-trained with hands-on safety and compliance monitoring experience
Confident producing clear reports and advising senior leadership
Able to balance regulatory compliance with commercial and operational realities
Willing to travel occasionally as part of audit and oversight responsibilities
