As an exclusive global cargo sales agency, you'll represent prestigious international airlines while catering to the freight transportation needs of major forwarders, logistics giants, and influential charter brokers. The role:


As an Air Freight professional, your key purpose is to identify and target lucrative business opportunities while building strong client relationships to achieve their objectives. You'll enhance your skills to excel, skilfully managing enquiries, presenting compelling offers, and securing profitable bookings. Seamless coordination with Customer Services is crucial to ensure exceptional flight operations. Combining industry expertise, sales prowess, and client commitment, you'll drive revenue growth and strengthen the company's position in the air cargo charter market.


Location:

● London area - 4 days in office / 1 remote day


Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

Liaising with clients to understand requirements and provide aircraft solutions. Maintaining and developing relationships with key accounts and new leads to maximise opportunities and increase loyalty. Managing all operational aspects from initial inquiry to trip completion.


Flight Quoting and Booking:

Negotiating with clients for best value. Ensuring timely, detailed and accurate quotes. Regular follow-ups towards booking confirmations. Ensuring contractual, insurance and regulatory compliance.


Business/Sales Development:

Identifying growth opportunities in new and existing markets. Visiting potential clients for business generation. Proactively developing new business through leads, recommendations and networking. Cold calling prospects to expand client portfolio.


Finance:

Ensuring accurate invoicing and timely client payments. Reconciling charter flights for recharging.


Other:

Staying updated on fleet availability and aircraft/airport capabilities. Working additional hours/weekends as required. Providing duty cover on rotation.


Skills and Experience:


Industry Knowledge:

Proven track record in sales roles and previous aviation industry experience, preferably with aircraft operators, handlers or in similar roles. Sound knowledge of aviation market and aircraft types, ideally with background in cargo brokering, airline commercial departments or related roles.


Client/Supplier Relationship Management:

Proven experience managing relationships with demanding global clients across cultures in a discreet, professional manner. Ability to calmly handle difficult client situations.


Planning and Organisation:

Strong time management and planning skills to anticipate requirements and obstacles. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Teamwork orientation to assist colleagues. High-level administrative skills. Focused on achieving goals despite setbacks.


Problem Solving and Decision Making:

Proactively finding solutions to issues by utilising available resources and managing situations until full resolution.


About you:

  • 5 years experience in air freight charter

  • Hold the right to work in the UK

  • Maintains a calm disposition and positive outlook, particularly when working under pressure

  • Flexibility to change and adapt working hours and patterns if necessary

  • Trustworthy and honest in all aspects of the role

  • Self-motivated and happy to work with a high degree of autonomy

  • Tenacious and willing to keep trying in challenging situations

  • Adaptable and responds well to feedback and change

  • Imaginative and dedicated to finding new ways to improve working practices
